DiPo contributed to a policy brief about the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on children with NDD and their families

DiPo was asked by Kids Brain Health Network, a national research network, to contribute to a policy brief they submitted to the Honourable Carolyn Bennett, the Minister of Mental Health and Additions and Associate Minister of Health. This policy brief discussed the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their families, and provided recommendations to mitigate the mental health impacts of the pandemic on this population.

This policy brief includes key findings from DiPo’s Nothing Without Us COVID-19 study.

Collaborating with external organizations on policy briefs is one way that DiPo can work to influence policy to ensure it is inclusive of individuals with disabilities and their families.
